12 Affairs recommended the following amendment:

14 Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
15 On page 2, lines 1-10, delete those lines
16
17 and insert:
18 (1) The applicant must be a corporation not for profit
19 pursuant to the provisions of chapter 617 or a Florida limited
20 partnership, the sole general partner of which is a
21 corporation not for profit pursuant to the provisions of
22 chapter 617, and the corporation not for profit must have been
23 exempt as of January 1 of the year for which exemption from ad
24 valorem property taxes is requested from federal income
25 taxation by having qualified as an exempt charitable
26 organization under the provisions of s. 501(c)(3) of the
27 Internal Revenue Code of 1954 or of the corresponding section
28 of a subsequently enacted federal revenue act.
