14         Amendment (with title amendment) 

15  Remove from the bill:  Everything after the enacting clause

17  and insert in lieu thereof:

18         Section 1.  Florida-Africa Trade Program.--

19         (1)  Enterprise Florida, Inc., may establish the

20  Florida-Africa Trade Program for the purpose of assisting

21  small and medium-sized Florida businesses and manufacturers in

22  exporting their products to African nations and assisting

23  companies from African nations interested in exporting

24  products to or investing in Florida. The program should

25  encourage African governments to locate trade or commercial

26  offices in Florida.

27         (2)  Enterprise Florida, Inc., may coordinate with

28  appropriate organizations and educational institutions, and

29  may contract with individuals or entities relative to the

30  development of a comprehensive plan to expand trade between

31  Florida and Africa. The coordination may encompass market

 1  development, market promotion and research, and educational

 2  and information services relative to the expansion of trade

 3  between Florida and the African nations.

 4         (3)  Enterprise Florida, Inc., may develop and

 5  administer other programs it considers advisable and

 6  appropriate for the purpose of collecting and disseminating to

 7  prospective manufacturers and businesses information regarding

 8  export to and from and foreign investment by and in African

 9  nations.

10         Section 2.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a

11  law.

16         On page 1, lines 3-10,

17  remove from the title of the bill:  all of said lines

18

19  and insert in lieu thereof:

20         providing for the establishment of the

21         Florida-Africa Trade Program by Enterprise

22         Florida, Inc.; providing purpose of the

23         program; providing responsibilities of

24         Enterprise Florida, Inc.; providing an

25         effective date.
