11  Senator Carlton moved the following amendment:

13         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 

14         On page 2, between lines 2 and 3,

15

16  insert:

17         Section 2.  Paragraphs (c) and (d) are added to

18  subsection (1) of section 296.36, Florida Statutes, to read:

19         296.36  Eligibility and priority of admittance.--

20         (1)  To be eligible for admittance to the home, the

21  person must be a veteran as defined in s. 1.01(14) and must:

22         (c)  Not owe money to the department for services

23  rendered during any previous stay at a department facility.

24         (d)  Have applied for all financial assistance

25  reasonably available through governmental sources.
