  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to the Miami-Dade County Lake

  3         Belt Plan; amending s. 373.4149, F.S.;

  4         clarifying the boundaries of the plan area;

  5         repealing s. 373.4149(5), F.S.; relating to

  6         requirements on the sale or lease of certain

  7         property or the issuance of a development order

  8         in the plan area; providing an effective date.

10  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

11

12         Section 1.  Subsection (3) of section 373.4149, Florida

13  Statutes, is amended to read:

14         373.4149  Miami-Dade County Lake Belt Plan.--

15         (3)  The Miami-Dade County Lake Belt Area is that area

16  bounded by the Ronald Reagan Florida Turnpike to the east, the

17  Miami-Dade-Broward County line to the north, Krome Avenue to

18  the west and Tamiami Trail to the south together with the land

19  south of Tamiami Trail in sections 5, 6, 7, 8, 17, and 18,

20  Township 54 South, Range 39 East, sections 24, 25, and 36,

21  Township 54 South, Range 38 East less those portions of

22  section 10, except the west one-half, section 11, except the

23  northeast one-quarter and the east one-half of the northwest

24  one-quarter, and tracts 38 through 41, and tracts 49 through

25  64 inclusive, section 13, except tracts 17 through 35 and

26  tracts 46 through 48, of Florida Fruit Lands Company

27  Subdivision No. 1 according to the plat thereof as recorded in

28  plat book 2, page 17, public records of Miami-Dade County, and

29  section 14, except the west three quarters, Township 52 South,

30  Range 39 East, lying north of the Miami Canal, sections 35 and

31  36 and the east one-half of sections 24 and 25, Township 53

  1  South, Range 39 East and Government Lots 1 and 2, lying

  2  between Townships 53 and 54 South, Range 39 East and those

  3  portions of sections 1 and 2, Township 54 South, Range 39

  4  East, lying north of Tamiami Trail.

  5         Section 2.  Subsection (5) of section 373.4149, Florida

  6  Statutes, is repealed.

  7         Section 3.  This act shall take effect July 1, 2000.

      Clarifies the boundaries of the Miami-Dade County Lake
12    Belt Plan area. Deletes a provision with respect to the
      sale or lease of property in the issuance of a
