14         Amendment (with title amendment) 

15         On page 76, between lines 7 and 8 of the bill

16

17  insert:

18         Section 48.  Children Service Council or Juvenile

19  Welfare Board incentive grants.--

20         (1)  Subject to specific appropriations, it is the

21  intent of the Legislature to provide incentives to encourage

22  Children Service Councils or Juvenile Welfare Boards to

23  provide support to local child welfare programs related to

24  implementation of community-based care.

25         (a)  A Children Service Council or Juvenile Welfare

26  Board as authorized in s. 125.901, may submit a request for

27  funding or continued funding to the Department of Children and

28  Families to support programs funded by the council or board

29  for local child welfare services related to implementation of

30  community-based care.

31         (b)  The Department of Children and Families shall

 1  establish grant application procedures.

 2         (2)  The Department of Children and Families shall make

 3  award determinations no later than October 1 of each year.

 4  All applicants shall be notified by the department of its

 5  final action.

 6         (3)  Each council or board that is awarded a grant as

 7  provided for in this section shall submit performance and

 8  output information as determined by the Department of Children

 9  and Families. 

10         (4)  The Department of Children and Families shall

11  establish rules as necessary to implement this section.
