13         Amendment (with title amendment) 

14         On page 8, line 3 of the bill

15

16  insert:

17         Section 6.  In order to implement Specific

18  Appropriations 3, 3A and 78 through 83 of the 2000-2001

19  General Appropriations Act, and the proviso following those

20  appropriations, subsection (3) is added to section 230.202,

21  Florida Statutes, to read:

22         230.202  District school board members; compensation--

23         (3) Notwithstanding the provisions of this section, or

24  of chapter 145, for the 2000-2001 fiscal year only, funds

25  appropriated by the legislature and local funds collected

26  pursuant to authority granted in the General Appropriations

27  Act for 2000-2001 shall not be used to compensate district

28  school board members.  This subsection is repealed on July 1,

29  2001.
