  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to rulemaking authority for the

  3         Department of Environmental Protection;

  4         amending s. 369.25, F.S.; authorizing the

  5         department to adopt rules requiring

  6         revegetation of a site under specified

  7         circumstances; providing an effective date.

  9  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

11         Section 1.  Subsection (3) of section 369.25, Florida

12  Statutes, is amended to read:

13         369.25  Aquatic plants; definitions; permits; powers of

14  department; penalties.--

15         (3)  The department has the following powers:

16         (j)  To adopt rules requiring the revegetation of a

17  site on sovereignty lands where excessive collection of

18  vegetation has occurred.

19         Section 2.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a

20  law.
