11  Senator Klein moved the following substitute for amendment

14         Senate Amendment 

15         On page 12, lines 8 - 13, delete those lines

16

17  and insert:  the appointed Florida Board of Education, there

18  shall be established the Education Governance Reorganization

19  Transition Task Force. All members of the task force shall be

20  appointed as soon as feasible but not later than October 1,

21  2000. The task force shall be comprised of:

22         (a)  Four members appointed by the Governor;

23         (b)  Two members appointed by the President of the

24  Senate;

25         (c)  Two members appointed by the Speaker of the House

26  of Representatives;

27         (d)  One member appointed by the Commissioner of

28  Education;

29         (e)  One member appointed by the Board of Regents; and

30         (f)  One member appointed by the State Board of

31  Community Colleges.
