15 On page 54, lines 9-14,
16 remove from the bill: all of said lines
17
18 and insert in lieu thereof:
19 (g) For properties acquired after January 1, 2000, in
20 the event that such properties otherwise eligible for payment
21 in lieu of taxes under this subsection are leased or reserved
22 and remain subject to ad valorem taxes, then payments in lieu
23 of taxes shall commence or recommence upon the expiration or
24 termination of the lease or reservation but in no event shall
25 there be more than a total of ten annual payments in lieu of
26 taxes for each tax loss. If the lease is terminated for only
27 a portion of the lands at any time, the ten annual payments
28 shall be made for that portion only commencing the year after
29 such termination, without limiting the requirement that ten
30 annual payments shall be made on the remaining portion or
31 portions of the land as the lease on each shall expire.
