11  The Committee on Criminal Justice recommended the following

12  amendment:

14         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 

15         On page 2, lines 1-13, delete those lines

17  and insert:

18         Section 1.  Subsection (5) of section 216.136, Florida

19  Statutes, is amended to read:

20         216.136  Consensus estimating conferences; duties and

21  principals.--

22         (5)  CRIMINAL JUSTICE ESTIMATING CONFERENCE.--

23         (a)  Duties.--The Criminal Justice Estimating

24  Conference shall:

25         1.  Develop such official information relating to the

26  criminal justice system, including forecasts of prison

27  admissions by offense categories specified in Rule 3.701,

28  Florida Rules of Criminal Procedure, as the conference

29  determines is needed for the state planning and budgeting

30  system.

31         2.  Develop such official information relating to the

 1  number of eligible discharges and the projected number of

 2  civil commitments for determining space needs pursuant to the
