14         On page 121, before line 1,

16  insert:

17         Section 40.  Section 290.00695, Florida Statutes, is

18  created to read:

19         290.00695  Enterprise zone designation for Hernando

20  County or Hernando County and Brooksville.--Hernando County,

21  or Hernando County and the City of Brooksville jointly, may

22  apply to the Office of Tourism, Trade, and Economic

23  Development for designation of one enterprise zone within the

24  county, or within both the county and the city, which zone

25  encompasses an area starting north of the City of Brooksville

26  with properties within the Gregg Mine Industrial Park; those

27  lands located on the east side of Cobb Road south of Yontz

28  Road to the intersection of Jefferson Street and State Road

29  50; lands adjacent to the State Road 50 Bypass east to the

30  intersection of Jefferson Street and State Road 50 in the

31  southeast area of the City of Brooksville; those lands

 1  encompassing the areas north and south of Summit Road from

 2  Hale Avenue to the west, east to Jefferson Street; lands

 3  adjacent to U.S. Route 41 from the State Road 50 Bypass south

 4  to the proposed Ayers Road Extension; those lands encompassing

 5  the Hernando County Airport east of U.S. Route 41 west to the

 6  Suncoast Parkway with Spring Hill Drive and Powell Road to the

 7  north including portions along Spring Hill Drive east and west

 8  of the intersection with California Street; and those lands

 9  adjacent to Anderson Snow Road and Corporate Boulevard known

10  as Holland Springs Industrial Park. The application must be

11  submitted by December 31, 2000, and must comply with the

12  requirements of s. 290.0055. Notwithstanding the provisions of

13  s. 290.0065 limiting the total number of enterprise zones

14  designated and the number of enterprise zones within a

15  population category, the Office of Tourism, Trade, and

16  Economic Development may designate one enterprise zone under

17  this section. The Office of Tourism, Trade, and Economic

18  Development shall establish the initial effective date of the

19  enterprise zone designated under this section.
