14 Remove from the bill: Everything after the enacting clause

16 and insert in lieu thereof:
17 Section 1. (1) For the period beginning at 12:01 a.m.
18 July 1, 2000, through midnight, July 31, 2000, no taxes shall
19 be collected on diapers and incontinence undergarments under
20 chapter 212, Florida Statutes.
21 (2) Taxes administered on sales of diapers and
22 incontinence undergarments during the period from 12:01 a.m.
23 August 1, 2000, through midnight, June 30, 2001, shall be
24 collected as stated in chapter 212, Florida Statutes, except
25 that such revenues shall be designated to provide funding for
26 public school teacher salaries.
27 (3) The provisions of chapter 120, Florida Statutes,
28 to the contrary notwithstanding, the Department of Revenue may
29 adopt rules to carry out this section.
30 Section 2. This act shall shall take effect upon
31 becoming law.
