13 Substitute Amendment for Amendment (835921) (with title
14 amendment)
15 Remove from the bill: Everything after the enacting clause
16
17 and insert in lieu thereof:
18 Section 1. (1) For the period beginning at 12:01 a.m.
19 July 1, 2000, through midnight, July 31, 2000, no taxes shall
20 be collected on diapers and incontinence undergarments under
21 chapter 212, Florida Statutes.
22 (2) Taxes administered on sales of diapers and
23 incontinence undergarments during the period from 12:01 a.m.
24 August 1, 2000, through midnight, June 30, 2001, shall be
25 collected as stated in chapter 212, Florida Statutes, except
26 that such revenues shall be designated to provide funding for
27 public school teacher salaries.
28 (3) The provisions of chapter 120, Florida Statutes,
29 to the contrary notwithstanding, the Department of Revenue may
30 adopt rules to carry out this section.
31 Section 2. This act shall shall take effect upon

6 On page 1, lines 3-7,
7 remove from the title of the bill: all of said lines

9 and insert in lieu thereof:
10 transactions; specifying a period during which

12 exempt from taxation; specifying a period
13 during which the taxes collected from the sale
14 of same products are used for a specified
15 purpose; provides an effective date.
