  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to the Barron Water Control

  3         District of Glades and Hendry Counties;

  4         extending the corporate life of the district

  5         until midnight September 30, 2020; providing an

  6         effective date.

  8  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

10         Section 1.  (1)  In order for the Barron Water Control

11  District of Glades and Hendry Counties to raise funds,

12  complete its water management plan, pay for works already

13  completed, pay principal or interest on its bonds, restore any

14  works, and construct new works, it is desirable to extend the

15  time for which the district has been incorporated.

16         (2)  The Barron Water Control District of Glades and

17  Hendry Counties which, under the terms of the "Order Granting

18  Petition for the Formation of a Water Management District,"

19  entered on May 8, 1975, by the Circuit Court of the 20th

20  Judicial Circuit in and for Hendry County, in case No. 72-197,

21  styled "In Re: Barron Water Management District," was to cease

22  to exist on May 7, 2005, shall, instead, cease to exist at

23  midnight September 30, 2020.

24         Section 2.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a

25  law.
