  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to Monroe County; authorizing

  3         said county to enact amendments to

  4         comprehensive plans more frequently than twice

  5         a year under certain circumstances; providing

  6         an effective date.

  8  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

  9

10         Section 1.  Notwithstanding the provisions of section

11  163.3187(1)(c)1.e., Florida Statutes, the Monroe County Board

12  of County Commissioners may adopt amendments to the

13  comprehensive plan more than two times during any calendar

14  year if the amendments are directly related to a proposed

15  small-scale-development activity that involves affordable

16  housing and otherwise comply with the remaining provisions of

17  section 163.3187, Florida Statutes.

18         Section 2.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a

19  law.
