14         Senate Amendment 

15         On page 4, line 28, after the period,

16

17  insert:  If the subject of the recall petition wishes to

18  challenge the facial validity of the petition, within 10 days

19  of the submission of the initial set of petitions to the

20  clerk, he or she must submit such petition to the Chief Judge

21  of the judicial circuit in which the municipality is located

22  for review of compliance with s. 100.361(1)(b). The Chief

23  Judge shall notify both the subject of the recall and the

24  chair of the committee of his or her determination and may

25  accept written briefs on the subject prior to issuing a

26  ruling.
