  1                    Senate Resolution No.     

  2         A resolution commending Gerold L. Schiebler,

  3         M.D., for his contributions to the health and

  4         welfare of children in this state.

  5

  6         WHEREAS, Gerold L. Schiebler has unselfishly dedicated

  7  forty years of his professional and personal career as a

  8  physician to caring for infants and children, and

  9         WHEREAS, Gerold L. Schiebler's efforts have resulted in

10  the creation of Children's Medical Services, infant metabolic

11  screening, infant hearing screening, regional neonatal and

12  perinatal intensive care centers, poison control centers,

13  insurance coverage for babies at birth, and numerous other

14  programs, and

15         WHEREAS, Gerold L. Schiebler has inspired countless

16  others to give of themselves to help children, including those

17  children with special health care needs, and

18         WHEREAS, Gerold L. Schiebler's efforts have led this

19  state's programs in child health care to become national

20  models, and

21         WHEREAS, Gerold L. Schiebler's untiring and unyielding

22  advocacy for children is most deserving of recognition, NOW,

23  THEREFORE,

25  Be It Resolved by the Senate of the State of Florida:

26

27         That the Florida Senate commends Gerold L. Schiebler

28  for his dedication and accomplishments in providing better

29  health care for the children of this state.

30         BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution,

31  with the Seal of the Senate affixed, be presented to Gerold L.
