5 WHEREAS, Robert K. Gross was born on June 3, 1958, and
6 WHEREAS, Robert K. Gross served as an Executive Board
7 member of the National Postgraduate Committee from 1990-1993,
8 and
9 WHEREAS, Robert K. Gross was Governor of the London
10 School of Economics from 1992-1993, and
11 WHEREAS, Robert K. Gross taught Broward County children
12 at Pine Crest Preparatory School from 1993-1996, and
13 WHEREAS, Robert K. Gross was appointed as an at-large
14 member to the Broward County Democratic Executive Committee
15 from 1994-1996, and
16 WHEREAS, Robert K. Gross served on the City of
17 Hollywood's Beach Master Plan Committee from 1995-1996, and
18 WHEREAS, Robert K. Gross was an adjunct professor at
19 the Florida International University in the Masters in
20 Environmental and Urban Systems program from 1996-1997, and
21 WHEREAS, Robert K. Gross worked with the Broward
22 Employment and Training Administration to promote
23 transportation, education, and school-to-career programs from
24 1997-1999, and
25 WHEREAS, Robert K. Gross was the Broward County
26 Democratic Executive Committee Committeeman from 1997-1999,
27 and
28 WHEREAS, Robert K. Gross was a member of the Broward
29 Community Involvement Round Table from 1997-1999, and
30 WHEREAS, Robert K. Gross was on the Executive Board of
31 the Broward County Young Democrats from 1995-1999, served as

1 Treasurer from 1995-1996 and from 1997-1998, served as Vice
2 President for Political Affairs from 1996-1997, served as
3 Executive Vice President from 1998-1999, and served as
4 President in 1999, and
5 WHEREAS, Robert K. Gross, a dedicated public servant
6 and Democrat, died on December 11, 1999, while attending the
7 Florida Democratic Convention in Orlando, NOW, THEREFORE,
8
9 Be It Resolved by the Senate of the State of Florida:

11 That the Florida Senate joins the citizens of Broward
12 County in honoring Robert K. Gross for his life, dedication to
13 public service, and all of his accomplishments.
14 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution,
15 with the Seal of the Senate affixed, be presented to Cindy
16 Sheer, the surviving spouse of Robert K. Gross, as a tangible
17 token of the sentiments of the Florida Senate.
