11  The Committee on Fiscal Resource recommended the following

12  substitute for amendment (652782):

14         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 

15         On page 2, lines 12 - 16, delete those lines

16

17  and insert:

18         Section 2.  The City of Fort Lauderdale is authorized

19  and directed to appropriate from funds of the city not

20  otherwise appropriated and to draw warrants totaling $600,000

21  as compensation for injuries and damages sustained by Earl

22  Spencer and his children, Sheryl Spencer, Zico Spencer,

23  Kimberly Spencer, Djaniela Spencer, and Jamaria Spencer. The

24  funds shall be disbursed to Earl Spencer's Special Needs

25  Trust; to his adult daughter, Sheryl Spencer; and to the

26  guardianship accounts for his minor children, Zico Spencer,

27  Kimberly Spencer, Djaniela Spencer, and Jamaria Spencer

28  pursuant to the terms of the Order on Plaintiff's Motion to

29  Approve Settlement signed by Judge Mark Speiser on January 13,

30  1999.
