14         On page 49, line 26, through

15            page 50, line 16, delete those lines

16

17  and insert:

18         (b)  If a petition for termination of parental rights

19  has been filed and a parent whose rights are to be terminated

20  objects to venue, there must be a hearing in which the court

21  shall determine whether that parent intends to assert legally

22  recognized grounds to contest a termination of parental rights

23  and, if so, immediately transfer venue to the county where

24  that parent resides, if there is such a county, or, if not, a

25  county where:

26         1.  At least one parent whose rights are to be

27  terminated resides;

28         2.  At least one parent resided at the time of

29  execution of a consent or affidavit of nonpaternity; or

30         3.  The adoption entity is located in neither

31  subparagraph 1. nor subparagraph 2.

 2  The court shall consider for purposes of selecting venue the

 3  ease of access to the court of the parent who intends to

 4  contest a termination of parental rights.

 5         (c)  If there is a transfer of venue, the adoption

 6  entity or the petitioner shall bear the cost of venue

 7  transfer.
