14 On page 1, line 13 through page 2, line 2 delete those
15 lines

17 and insert:
18 (1) Notwithstanding any other provision of law, if all
19 candidates for an office are seeking the nomination of the
20 same political party and there is no opposition in the general
21 election or there is only opposition from a write-in
22 candidate, all registered electors, regardless of party
23 affiliation, may vote for a candidate for that office in the
24 first primary election and, if necessary, in the general
25 election.
26 (2) If two or more candidates have qualified for an
27 office and only one political party is represented and there
28 is no opposition in the general election or there is only
29 opposition from a write-in candidate, the names of all
30 non-write-in candidates for the office shall be placed on the
31 first primary election ballot of each political party holding
