11  Senator Clary moved the following amendment:

13         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 

14         On page 67, line 6, delete that line

15

16  and insert:  coursework within 6 months after such

17  certification.

19  Before January 1, 2001, any individual who is employed by an

20  educational board as a building code administrator, plans

21  examiner, or inspector and who is not eligible for a standard

22  certificate but wishes to continue in such employment, shall

23  submit to the board the appropriate application and

24  certification fees and shall receive a limited certificate

25  that qualifies the individual to engage in building code

26  administration, plans examination, or inspection in the class,

27  at the performance level, and within the governmental

28  jurisdiction in which the individual is employed.
