14         On page 106, lines 4-8, delete those lines

15

16  and insert:

17         Section 67.  Effective January 1, 2001, subsection (5)

18  of section 553.71 and subsection (7) of that section, as

19  amended by this act, are amended, and subsection (10) is added

20  to that section, to read:

21         553.71  Definitions.--As used in this part, the term:

22         (5)  "Local enforcement agency" means an agency of

23  local government, a local school board, a community college

24  board, or a university in the State University System with

25  jurisdiction authority to make inspections of buildings and to

26  enforce the codes which establish standards for design,

27  construction, erection, alteration, repair, modification, or

28  demolition of public or private buildings, structures, or

29  facilities.
