11  Senator Carlton moved the following amendment:

13         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 

14         On page 8 between lines 6 and 7,

16  insert:

17         (7)  REVIEW OF EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT PLANS.--The

18  submission of emergency management plans to county health

19  departments by home health agencies pursuant to s.

20  400.497(11)(c) and (d) and by nurse registries pursuant to s.

21  400.506(16)(e) and by hospice programs pursuant to s.

22  400.610(1)(b) is conditional upon the receipt of an

23  appropriation by the department to establish medical services

24  disaster coordinator positions in county health departments

25  unless the Secretary of the department and a local county

26  commission jointly determine to require such plans to be

27  submitted based on a determination that there is a special

28  need to protect public health in the local area during an

29  emergency.
