14         On page 6, line 3, of the bill

16  insert after the period:

17  The Legislature also finds that it is a public necessity to

18  exempt information which is only made available to the

19  department on a confidential basis.  Maintaining the

20  confidentiality of such information protects the concerns of

21  the persons regarding privacy, trade secrets, physical safety,

22  or other such reason.  The public benefit of maintaining the

23  confidentiality outweighs the public benefit derived from

24  release of such information, since such information would

25  otherwise not be available to the department to carry out its

26  regulatory or investigatory duties.
