12 following amendment to amendment (851976):

15 On page 3, lines 7-23, delete those lines
16
17 and insert: consist of nine members no more than seven and no
18 fewer than five members appointed by the county commission.
19 The members of the governing board, agency, or authority shall
20 be at least 18 years of age and residents of the county. No
21 member may be employed by or affiliated with a health care
22 provider or the public health trust, agency, or authority
23 responsible for the county public general hospital. The
24 Governor, the President of the Senate, and the Speaker of the
25 House of Representatives shall each appoint two members to the
26 governing board. In addition, the South Florida Hospital and
27 Health Care Association, the Miami-Dade County Public Health
28 Trust, and the Miami-Dade County Homeless Trust shall each
29 appoint one member to the governing board. The following
30 community organizations shall each appoint a representative to
31 a nominating committee: the South Florida Hospital and

1 Healthcare Association, the Miami-Dade County Public Health
2 Trust, the Dade County Medical Association, the Miami-Dade
3 County Homeless Trust, and the Mayor of Miami-Dade County.
4 This committee shall nominate between 10 and 14 county
5 citizens for the governing board, agency, or authority. The
6 slate shall be presented to the county commission and the
7 county commission shall confirm the top five to seven
8 nominees, depending on the size of the governing board. Until
