1 A bill to be entitled
2 An act relating to trust funds; terminating or
3 modifying specified trust funds administered by
4 state health and human services agencies;
5 providing an effective date.

7 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

9 Section 1. (1) The following trust funds administered
10 by the following agencies are terminated:
11 (a) Within the Department of Children and Family
12 Services, the Direct Assistance Trust Fund, FLAIR number
13 60-2-156.
14 (b) Within the Department of Veterans' Affairs, the
15 Administrative Trust Fund, FLAIR number 50-2-021.
16 (2) Unless otherwise provided, all current balances
17 remaining in, and all revenues of, the trust funds terminated
18 by this act shall be transferred to the General Revenue Fund.
19 (3) For each trust fund and fund account terminated by
20 this act, the agency that administers the trust fund or fund
21 account shall pay any outstanding debts or obligations of the
22 terminated fund or account as soon as practicable, and the
23 Comptroller shall close out and remove the terminated fund or
24 account from the various state accounting systems using
25 generally accepted accounting principles concerning warrants
26 outstanding, assets, and liabilities.
27 Section 2. The Child Care and Development Block Grant
28 Trust Fund within the Department of Children and Family
29 Services, FLAIR number 60-2-098, is renamed the Child Care and
30 Development Trust Fund.
31 Section 3. This act shall take effect July 1, 2000.

1 STATEMENT OF SUBSTANTIAL CHANGES CONTAINED IN
COMMITTEE SUBSTITUTE FOR
2 Senate Bill 664

4 The committee substitute removes the Florida Organ and Tissue
Donor Trust Fund from the bill which had previously been
5 sunset July 1, 1999, pursuant to Chapter 96-418, Laws of
Florida.
