13         Substitute Amendment for Amendment (183667) (with title

14  amendment) 

15         On page 8, lines 25 through 28,

16  remove from the bill:  all of said lines

18  and insert in lieu thereof:

19  tax, Every natural person is entitled each year to an

20  exemption of the first $200,000 $20,000 of the value of

21  property otherwise subject to the annual said tax.  A husband

22  and wife filing jointly shall have an exemption of $400,000

23  $40,000.
