  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to rulemaking authority

  3         regarding water management districts (RAB);

  4         amending s. 373.083, F.S.; authorizing a

  5         governing board to delegate its powers and

  6         duties to board members or its executive

  7         director; providing an effective date.

  9  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

11         Section 1.  Subsection (5) is added to section 373.083,

12  Florida Statutes, to read:

13         373.083  General powers and duties of the governing

14  board.--In addition to other powers and duties allowed it by

15  law, the governing board is authorized to:

16         (5)  Delegate its powers and duties, by order, to a

17  member or members thereof, or to the executive director. The

18  executive director may execute such delegated authority

19  through designated district staff.

20         Section 2.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a

21  law.
