11  The Committee on Finance & Taxation offered the following:

13         Amendment (with title amendment) 

14         On page 8, between lines 13 and 14,

15

16  insert:

17         Section 6.  Section 290.00555, Florida Statutes, is

18  amended to read:

19         290.00555  Satellite enterprise zones.--Before December

20  31, 2000 1999, any municipality an area of which has

21  previously received designation as an enterprise zone in the

22  population category described in s. 290.0065(3)(a)3. may

23  create a satellite enterprise zone not exceeding 1.5 square

24  miles in area outside of and, notwithstanding anything

25  contained in s. 290.0055(4), or any other law, in addition to

26  the previously designated enterprise zone boundaries. The

27  Office of Tourism, Trade, and Economic Development shall amend

28  the boundaries of the areas previously designated by any such

29  municipality as enterprise zones upon receipt of a resolution

30  adopted by the municipality describing the satellite

31  enterprise zone areas, as long as the additional areas are

 1  consistent with the categories, criteria, and limitations

 2  imposed by s. 290.0055. However, the requirements imposed by

 3  s. 290.0055(4)(d) do not apply to such satellite enterprise

 4  zone areas.

13         deadline for the creation of a satellite
