11  The Committee on Community Affairs offered the following:

14         On page 15,

15  remove from the bill:  line 25

17  and insert in lieu thereof:  portions thereof required to

18  provide fire protection services to new construction. "New

19  facilities" means buildings and capital equipment, including,

20  but not limited to, fire vehicles and radio-telemetry

21  equipment.  Said fees shall not be used for the acquisition,

22  purchase, or construction of facilities which must be obtained

23  in any event, regardless of growth within the district.  The

24  board of commissioners shall maintain adequate records to

25  ensure that impact fees are expended only for permissible new

26  facilities.
