  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to the City of Jacksonville,

  3         Duval County; extending the operation of

  4         chapter 89-439, Laws of Florida, as amended,

  5         relating to the Jacksonville Environmental

  6         Protection Board, notwithstanding its scheduled

  7         expiration on October 1, 2001; providing for

  8         the repeal of such chapter on October 1, 2011;

  9         providing an effective date.

11  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

13         Section 1.  Notwithstanding the provisions of section 2

14  of chapter 89-439, Laws of Florida, as amended by chapter

15  91-362, Laws of Florida, chapter 89-439, Laws of Florida,

16  shall not terminate and be of no further force and effect on

17  October 1, 2001, as scheduled by such acts, but shall continue

18  to exist and operate until October 1, 2011, after which date

19  chapter 89-439, Laws of Florida, as amended by chapter 91-362,

20  Laws of Florida, shall stand repealed.

21         Section 2.  This act shall take effect October 1, 2000.
