13         Senate Amendment 

14         On page 4, lines 6-10, delete those lines

15

16  and insert:

17         (c)  Completion of one of a select number of one-credit

18  core courses to assure student understanding of technical

19  systems and applications. The Department of Education shall

20  adopt in rule the performance standards for these courses,

21  which must afford students multiple approaches to gain the

22  required competencies and must meet the graduation

23  requirements for performing arts or practical arts.
