  1                         House Resolution

  2         A resolution honoring Joshua Marcus.

  3

  4         WHEREAS, Joshua Marcus, an esteemed resident of Boca

  5  Raton and a student of the Donna Klein Jewish Academy, has

  6  shown a dedication to service in his community through

  7  volunteer work, and

  8         WHEREAS, in recognition of his goodwill, The Prudential

  9  Insurance Company of America, in partnership with the National

10  Association of Secondary School Principals, has presented

11  Joshua with a 2000 Prudential Spirit of Community Award, and

12         WHEREAS, this prestigious award is offered to honor

13  young volunteers throughout the nation who have demonstrated

14  an extraordinary commitment to serving their communities, and

15         WHEREAS, the success of the State of Florida, the

16  strength of our communities, and the vitality of American

17  society depend in great measure upon the dedication of young

18  people who employ their considerable talents and resources to

19  serve others, and

20         WHEREAS, Mr. Marcus' dedication and commitment to

21  better his community serves as a shining example of the

22  goodwill of the citizens of the State of Florida and as a

23  model for young people across the nation, NOW, THEREFORE,

25  Be It Resolved by the House of Representatives of the State of

26  Florida:

28         That the House of Representatives of the State of

29  Florida hereby congratulates and honors Joshua Marcus as a

30  recipient of a Prudential Spirit of Community Award and, in

31  recognizing his outstanding record of volunteer service, peer
