13         Amendment 

14         On page 4, line 26, through page 5, line 7,

15  remove from the bill:  all of said lines

17  and insert in lieu thereof:

18  impair any accrued benefit earned prior to July 1, 200. A

19  previously established contract renewed on or after July 1,

20  2000, shall be considered a new contract.

21         b.  For unused sick leave accumulated before prior to

22  July 1, 2000 1995, terminal payment shall be made pursuant to

23  a district school board's policies, contracts, or rules that

24  which are in effect on June 30, 2000 July 1, 1995.

25         c.  Each district school board may also adopt policies

26  through which sick leave accumulated in previous years by

27  full-time employees of the board may be contributed to an

28  approved pretax retirement account, in the name of the

29  employee, based on the daily rate of pay of the employee.

30         d.  Nothing in this subparagraph shall be interpreted

31  to limit or prohibit pay for sick leave accrued prior to July
