1 House Resolution
2 A resolution honoring the Dillard High School
3 men's basketball team, of Fort Lauderdale.

5 WHEREAS, under the leadership of Head Coach Darryl
6 Lamont Burrows, the Dillard High School men's basketball team
7 played 35 games this season, 31 of which ended in victories
8 for Dillard High School, and
9 WHEREAS, Dillard High School has won 24 consecutive
10 games, and
11 WHEREAS, Dillard High School defeated Ely High School
12 to win the district championship and move on to the regional
13 tournament, where they earned a chance to play in the state
14 championship tournament with a win over Deerfield Beach High
15 School in Fort Lauderdale, and
16 WHEREAS, with a victory over Vero Beach High School at
17 the Lakeland Civic Center in Lakeland, the Dillard High School
18 men's basketball team won the state championship tournament
19 and earned the designation of state champions, the culmination
20 of 31 wins in 35 games, NOW, THEREFORE,

22 Be It Resolved by the House of Representatives of the State of
23 Florida:

25 That the House of Representatives offers Dillard High
26 School heartiest congratulations on becoming men's basketball
27 state champions, and extends its sincerest best wishes for
28 another successful season.
29 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution
30 be presented to Dillard High School Principal Deborah Stubbs,
31 Athletic Administrator Walter Clark, Athletic Director Tracie
