  1                         House Resolution

  2         A resolution recognizing Grover C. Robinson III

  3         for his many years of service to the State of

  4         Florida.

  5

  6         WHEREAS, Grover Robinson III served the citizens of

  7  Escambia County and the State of Florida with honor and

  8  distinction as a member of the Florida House of

  9  Representatives from 1972 to 1986, and

10         WHEREAS, Grover Robinson III achieved major positions

11  of leadership in the Florida Legislature, including Chair of

12  the House General Government Appropriations Subcommittee

13  (1978-1980), Vice Chair of the Committee on Tourism and

14  Economic Development (1980-1982), and Vice Chair of the Select

15  Committee on Human Rights (1974-1976), and

16         WHEREAS, Grover Robinson III was a champion for

17  Northwest Florida on issues involving environmental protection

18  and child advocacy, and in addition was co-sponsor of

19  legislation which created the Florida Real Estate Commission

20  in 1981, and

21         WHEREAS, Grover Robinson III was much beloved and

22  respected by his colleagues and the staff of the Florida House

23  of Representatives, and he was a loyal, committed member,

24  devoted husband, loving father, and cherished friend, but most

25  of all, he was selfless and determined to do what was right

26  and best for others, NOW, THEREFORE,

28  Be It Resolved by the House of Representatives of the State of

  1         That the House of Representatives of the State of

  2  Florida hereby recognizes and commemorates the life of Grover

  3  C. Robinson III for his many contributions to the betterment

  4  of the State of Florida, and expresses its sincere condolences

  5  to his family, friends, and admirers.
