  2         A resolution honoring the life of Robert K.

  3         Gross.

  5         WHEREAS, Robert K. Gross was born on June 23, 1958, and

  6         WHEREAS, Robert K. Gross served as an Executive Board

  7  member of the National Postgraduate Committee from 1990-1993,

  8  and

  9         WHEREAS, Robert K. Gross attended the London School of

10  Economics, and

11         WHEREAS, Robert K. Gross taught Broward County children

12  at Pine Crest Preparatory School from 1993-1996, and

13         WHEREAS, Robert K. Gross served on the City of

14  Hollywood's Beach Master Plan Committee from 1995-1996, and

15         WHEREAS, Robert K. Gross was a research associate at

16  the Florida International University in the College of

17  Engineering and Design program from 1996-1997, and

18         WHEREAS, Robert K. Gross worked with the Broward

19  Employment and Training Administration to promote

20  transportation, education, and school-to-career programs from

21  1997-1999, and

22         WHEREAS, Robert K. Gross was a Broward County

23  Democratic Executive Committee Committeeman from 1994-1999,

24  and

25         WHEREAS, Robert K. Gross was a member of the Broward

26  Community Involvement Round Table from 1997-1999, and

27         WHEREAS, Robert K. Gross was on the Executive Board of

28  the Broward County Young Democrats from 1995-1999, served as

29  Treasurer from 1995-1998, served as Vice President for

30  Political Affairs from 1996-1997, served as Executive Vice

31  President from 1998-1999, and served as President in 1999, and

  1         WHEREAS, Robert K. Gross, a dedicated public servant

  2  and Democrat, died on December 11, 1999, while attending the

  3  Florida Democratic Convention in Orlando, NOW, THEREFORE,

  4

  5  Be It Resolved by the House of Representatives of the State of

  6  Florida:

  7

  8         That the Florida House of Representatives joins the

  9  citizens of Broward County in honoring Robert K. Gross for his

10  life, dedication to public service, and all of his

11  accomplishments.

12         BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution

13  be presented to Cindy Sheer, the surviving spouse of Robert K.

14  Gross, as a tangible token of the sentiments expressed herein.
