11  The Committee on Fiscal Policy recommended the following

12  amendment:

15         On page 3, lines 28-31, delete those lines

16

17  and insert:

18         Section 4.  In addition to the sum of $530,000

19  appropriated from the General Revenue Fund in the General

20  Appropriations Act for the 2000-2001 fiscal year for the Blind

21  Babies Program, the sum of $470,000 is appropriated from the

22  General Revenue Fund to the Division of Blind Services of the

23  Department of Labor and Employment Security to fund the Blind

24  Babies Program during the 2000-2001 fiscal year. Of the total

25  amount appropriated for the program in this act and in the

26  General Appropriations Act for the 2000-2001 fiscal year, 90

27  percent of the funds must be provided for direct consumer

28  services. Funds shall be distributed based on enrollment,

29  which is contingent upon the Division of Blind Services

30  determining eligibility.
