11  The Committee on Fiscal Policy recommended the following

12  amendment:

14         Senate Amendment 

15         On page 2, lines 11-15, delete those lines

16

17  and insert:

18         Section 2.  The sum of $700,000 is appropriated from

19  the General Revenue Fund, to be divided equally between the

20  Tenth and Thirteenth Judicial Circuits to implement pilot

21  programs to test the efficacy of the elder assistance center

22  program.  Notwithstanding the provisions of s. 216.262, F. S.

23  and in accordance with the legislative review and objection

24  provisions of s. 216.177, F.S., the Chief Justice may

25  authorize an increase in the number of authorized positions

26  for Fiscal Year 2000-2001 for the purposes of implementing the

27  provisions of s. 26.59, F. S.  Judicial circuits implementing

28  the pilot
