11  Senator Clary moved the following amendment:

13         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 

14         On page 5, between lines 26 and 27,

15

16  insert:

17         Section 5.  Section 290.00696, Florida Statutes, is

18  created to read:

19         290.00696  Enterprise zone designation for Holmes

20  County.--Holmes County may apply to the Office of Tourism,

21  Trade, and Economic Development for designation of one

22  enterprise zone within an area in Holmes County. The

23  application must be submitted by December 31, 2000, and must

24  comply with the requirements of s. 290.0055.  Notwithstanding

25  the provisions of s. 290.0065 limiting the total number of

26  enterprise zones designated and the number of enterprise zones

27  within a population category, the Office of Tourism, Trade,

28  and Economic Development may designate one enterprise zone

29  under this section. The Office of Tourism, Trade, and Economic

30  Development shall establish the initial effective date of the

31  enterprise zone designated pursuant to this section.
