11  The Committee on Community Affairs offered the following:

14         On page 1, line 24 through page 2, line 9,

15  remove from the bill:  all of said lines

17  and insert in lieu thereof:

18         Section 1.  Intent.--Pursuant to section 191.015,

19  Florida Statutes, this act constitutes the codification of all

20  special acts relating to Southern Manatee Fire and Rescue

21  District.  It is the intent of the Legislature to provide a

22  single, comprehensive special act charter for the district

23  including all current legislative authority granted to the

24  district by its several legislative enactments and any

25  additional authority granted by this act and chapters 189 and

26  191, Florida Statutes, as they may be amended from time to

27  time.  It is further the intent of this act to preserve all

28  district authority.

29         Section 2.  Codification--Chapter 92-249, Laws of

30  Florida, is codified, reenacted, amended, and repealed as

31  herein provided.
