14 On page 1, between lines 25 and 26, of the bill

16 insert:
17 Section 1. Intent.
18 Pursuant to Section 191.015, Florida Statutes, this Act
19 constitutes the codification of all special acts relating to
20 Braden River Fire Control and Rescue District. It is the
21 intent of the legislature in enacting this law to provide a
22 single, comprehensive special act charter for the District
23 including all current legislative authority granted to the
24 District by its several legislative enactments and any
25 additional authority granted by this Act. It is further the
26 intent of this Act to preserve all District authority,
27 including the authority to annually assess and levy against
28 the taxable property in the District except as provided in
29 Chapter 191, Florida Statutes, as amended from time to time.
