14 On page 3, between lines 2 and 3,

16 insert:
17 Section 2. Paragraph (d) is added to subsection (9) of
18 section 458.347, Florida Statutes, to read:
19 458.347 Physician assistants.--
20 (9) COUNCIL ON PHYSICIAN ASSISTANTS.--The Council on
21 Physician Assistants is created within the department.
22 (d) If the council finds that an applicant for
23 licensure has failed to meet each of the requirements for
24 licensure set forth in this section to the satisfaction of the
25 council, the council may enter an order to:
26 1. Refuse to certify the applicant for licensure;
27 2. Approve the applicant for licensure with
28 restrictions on the scope of practice or licensure; or
29 3. Approve the applicant for conditional licensure.
30 Such conditions may include placement of the licensee on
31 probation for a period of time and conditions specified by the

1 council, including, but not limited to, requiring the licensee
2 to undergo treatment, to attend continuing education courses,
3 to work under the direct supervision of a physician licensed
4 in this state, or to take corrective action.
5 Section 3. Paragraph (d) is added to subsection (9) of
6 section 459.022, Florida Statutes, to read:
7 459.022 Physician assistants.--
