19 Section 1. Section 316.1923, Florida Statutes, is
20 created to read:
21 316.1923 Aggressive careless driving--Aggressive
22 careless driving is defined as committing two or more of the
23 following acts simultaneously or in succession:
24 (1) Exceeding the posted speed as defined in s.
25 322.27(3)(d)5.b.
26 (2) Unsafely or improperly changing lanes as defined
27 in s. 316.085.
28 (3) Following another vehicle too closely as defined
29 in s. 316.0895(1).
30 (4) Failing to yield the right-of-way as defined in s.
31 316.079, s. 316.0815, or s. 316.123.

5 Section 2. Section 316.650(1)(a), is amended to read:
6 316.650 Traffic citations.--
7 (1)(a) The department shall prepare, and supply to
8 every traffic enforcement agency in this state, an appropriate
9 form traffic citation containing a notice to appear (which
10 shall be issued in prenumbered books with citations in
11 quintuplicate) and meeting the requirements of this chapter or
12 any laws of this state regulating traffic, which form shall be
13 consistent with the state traffic court rules and the
14 procedures established by the department. Upon all future
15 printings of the traffic citation, the form shall include a
16 special box which is to be checked by the law enforcement
17 officer when the officer believes that the traffic violation
18 and/or crash was caused due to aggressive careless driving as
19 defined in s. 316.1923.
20 Section 3. A report shall be prepared and delivered to
21 the Speaker of the House and the President of the Senate no
22 later than December 1, 2002 setting forth the numbers of
23 incidents of aggressive careless driving in Florida.
24 Section 4. This act shall take effect upon becoming a
25 law.
