15 On page 1, line 11 through page 2, line 4,
16 remove from the bill: all of said lines

18 and insert in lieu thereof:
19 Section 1. Public school students have the right to
20 pray individually or in groups or to discuss their religious
21 views with their peers so long as they are not disruptive.
22 (1) In the classroom students have the right to pray
23 silently except when required to be actively engaged in school
24 activities (e.g., students may not decide to pray just as a
25 teacher calls on them).
26 (2) In informal settings, such as the cafeteria or in
27 the halls, students may pray either audibly or silently,
28 subject to the same rules of order as apply to other speech in
29 these locations.
30 Section 2. However, the right to engage in voluntary
31 prayer does not include, for example, the right to have a
