  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to motorcycle registrations;

  3         amending s. 320.02, F.S.; prohibiting

  4         registration of a motorcycle under certain

  5         circumstances; providing an effective date.

  7  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

  8

  9         Section 1.  Subsection (18) is added to section 320.02,

10  Florida Statutes, to read:

11         320.02  Registration required; application for

12  registration; forms.--

13         (18)  A motorcycle shall not be registered in this

14  state to any person who does not have a valid driver's license

15  which authorizes such person to operate a motorcycle, as

16  provided in chapter 322, at the time of application for

17  registration.

18         Section 2.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a

19  law.

22                          HOUSE SUMMARY

      Prohibits registering a motorcycle to a person who does
24    not have a valid driver's license which authorizes the
      person to operate a motorcycle.
