  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to the re-creation of the

  3         Florida Preservation 2000 Trust Fund without

  4         modification; terminating and re-creating the

  5         trust fund; carrying forward current balances

  6         and continuing current sources and uses

  7         thereof; providing an effective date.

  8

  9         WHEREAS, the Legislature wishes to extend the life of

10  the Florida Preservation 2000 Trust Fund, and

11         WHEREAS, the Legislature has reviewed the trust fund

12  and has found that it continues to meet an important public

13  purpose, and

14         WHEREAS, the Legislature has found that existing public

15  policy concerning the trust fund sets adequate parameters for

16  its use, NOW, THEREFORE,

18  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

19

20         Section 1.  (1)  The Florida Preservation 2000 Trust

21  Fund within the Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission,

22  FLAIR Number 77-2-332, is terminated and re-created.

23         (2)  All current balances of the trust fund are carried

24  forward, and all current sources and uses of the trust fund

25  are continued.

26         Section 2.  This act shall take effect November 4,

27  2004.

  3    Limits and re-creates without modification the Florida
      Preservation 2000 Trust Fund within the Fish and Wildlife
  4    Conservation Commission in order to synchronize its
      review cycle with other trust funds of the commission.
