  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to persons with developmental

  3         disabilities; reenacting s. 400.962, F.S., to

  4         ratify prior changes that removed the licensure

  5         requirement for comprehensive transitional

  6         educational programs; providing an effective

  7         date.

  9  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

11         Section 1.  Subsection (1) of section 400.962, Florida

12  Statutes, is reenacted to read:

13         400.962  License required; license application.--

14         (1)  It is unlawful to operate an intermediate care

15  facility for the developmentally disabled without a license.

16         Section 2.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a

17  law.

20                          SENATE SUMMARY

21    Ratifies the removal by an act that passed last year of
      the licensure requirement for operating a comprehensive
22    transitional educational program.
