  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to the Department of State;

  3         expressing the intent of the Legislature to

  4         enact organizational or programmatic changes to

  5         the department; providing an effective date.

  7  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

  8

  9         Section 1.  It is the intent of the Legislature to

10  enact organizational or programmatic changes to the Department

11  of State, as part of the ongoing effort by the Legislature to

12  reduce public expenditures and improve the efficiency of state

13  government.

14         Section 2.  This act shall take effect July 1, 2001.
